Turkey Hunt

Well, this morning the kids and I went on a Turkey hunt.

Little Bit was so excited, "Are we gonna take a gun and shoot a turkey?"
Me: "No, we're taking a free turkey coupon and getting one."
Little Bit: "O.K."

So, off to Kroger we went. Arriving by 8 a.m. in order to beat the crowds and let M sleep in some. For breakfast we indulged in Starbucks hot chocolates and penguin cookies. We sorted out all of our coupons as we dined. Then Big Kid went and got us a shopping cart. He insisted we all go out to see the musical Christmas trees and big Santa in the front. He was right, it was a wonderful display. Then as we hunted down our bargains throughout the store, Big Kid pushed the cart and Little Bit loaded the products into the cart. It was a perfect way to go. Although, probably more costly on our wallet. As each child got to pick their own fruit, their own vegetable, their own bag of chips and their own Little Debbie Snack cakes. And I found that other than vegetables, they all picked the exact same items. So, now we have double of each. But, I'm sure they will all be eaten. At checkout, they even picked the same gum each getting their own packet.

So, now we're home and the groceries are unloaded. I'm boiling the eggs for tomorrow's deviled eggs. The kids are playing video games and I am thinking that I might need a nap.

Here's wishing you a good Turkey hunt.
