It started off a mild manner day. 7 a.m.-ish A nice cup of coffee. I let out the dog. Fed the cat, making sure to give him his kitty treats. Fed the fish. Fed the fish again. It's always a 2 step feeding, otherwise all the flakes end up on the bottom and they are hungry all day, nibbling on each other's fins. Change the dishes in the dishwasher from clean to dirty and start it again. Another cup of coffee. Watching the CBS morning show, in between. Today, i missed most of it. I love that show.
By then M had woke up. "Let's go to the early church this morning." So, we roll out the troops and all shine ourselves up. And out the door by 9 a.m. We went to the chapel service. I saw one of my bookstore friends. The service had the intern pastor. I thought he did good for his first sermon. It was about hope and maybe some missions mixed in. You know, some flow issues, but nice. And we love the organ players. And plus, it's just nice to go and worship. I'm ready to go back to work there.
Anywho, afterwards we headed to Dosey Doe's for brunch. Guitar playing, a great waitress, yummy hazelnut latte, great kids and hubby, and good food. A++++++
We went off to a VBS meeting. It turned out to be mainly just hanging around for a couple of hours for a 10 minute meeting, but really great to catch up with friends.
And a trip to Lowe's for our paint brushes and other such supplies. remember? we're painting the kids rooms this week. wish us luck!
And Big Kid has a pool party with the church. We're dropping and returning two of his friends for this wing ding. Thankfully it's a pool party. Way too hot for anything else outside today. 104+ on the car temp.

what saturday morning 8 am and i've been awake 1.5 hours
Yes. I could have slept in. But, my body said no.
And my dog, who is afraid of thunder. Who felt it necessary to be in the exact same room as me, not one room over.
And my husband. Who had a headache, so he went upstairs to sleep in the guest bed with the very loud hamsters.
And mostly, because I just was awake. Wide awake.
My kids are still asleep though. And my cat is not loud this morning. Someone has to take up the slack tomorrow.

Well, here is a picture of my fa la la la la la la la la laaaa t-shirt that I made this week.
i might be ready for Christmas.

Next week. I'm teaching my children how to paint their rooms. They have both picked real dark colors. But, I figure it's their room and they are painting them. Pics at the end of next week. As long as I don't fall off the crazy cliff.

transformers
Transformers- Machine Thumbs Up!
Saw it tonight in 3D, the only way to see this movie. Amazing graphicly and visually speaking. Plot was ok. Loved all the shootem up, bang, bang scenes. Found myself saying "whoa" out loud a couple of times. And I thought it would be lame and cheesey, and i was right. But, still spectacular and exciting.

Door Knobs and fountains
Well, sports fans, I've been busy with door knobs, bought the last two indoor knobs today! YEA!!! Will install them right after this post. I will also be installing a new electric switch, I hate the painted over one we have in the upstairs bath right now. And a new hook for the back of my bathroom door in the master bath.
To show you yesterday's accomplishment...a photo of my new fountain. I had the bowl I bought about a year ago and always knew I wanted to have a frog spitting into it. The day before yesterday, at Hobby Lobby, my dreams came true in the form of a reduced 80% clearance $10 frog spitting fountain. It took a night & another morning to get the frog spit just right where it didn't spit out of the bowl and all over the floor, but I think I'm happy now. at least for today.

back on
today is a two cuppa coffee maybe some asprin kind of morning. i got up at 3 a.m. to let my 12 year old into the house, from being out all night with a friend. WHAT! 12 year old out until 3 a.m.!!! Yes, relax. He went to the midnight show of the last Harry Potter movie with his friend and mom. Sounded more exciting at the begining. Anywho, he had a fantastic time and it was pretty neat to finish this movie series in such a great way. Big Kid has been watching these movies since he was just a little boy and now has grown up. In a way, I'll always have a special place in my heart for Harry Potter, just like a bunch of other moms in this world because we will always remember our little boys and girls as little ones when we see this show in rerun on tv and we will have good memories associated with this film series. Oh, Harry Pot-tar.

Girlz Road trip and such
Big Kid and M on the EARLY morning of their Big Boy Scout trip to Jasper, AR. They said it was a hot and buggy trip when they returned!
Waiting for the horse wagon train and going to hand out popcycles! We all 3 look related the way we are all sitting. i love this pic!
We made lots of fun stops along the way!
I cannot say how much I LOVED this Girlz Road Trip;
it was because I had the BEST traveling partner!!!
I love you Little Bit!!!
something about door knobs
Who knew?
Door Knobs make me happy.
Yesterday, I finished installing all but 2 new door knobs throughout my entire inside of my house. And I LOVE them. Yes, that was love.
I will take some pics today and post the before and after knobs, but really just take my word for it right now...they are much better.

thought of the day
Waiting for the drill to charge is like waiting for a pot of water to boil...
today i teach the kids how to change door knobs. We were going great, about 5 knobs off in 10 minutes, then the drill lost it's charge. :( So, we are waiting...waiting...waiting....
it's still better than doing it by hand. We tried it by hand, but it would be still longer than waiting for the battery to charge. but good for a short lesson in what it was like before electricity.

home again home again!
We have returned from our BIG girlz road trip. Little Bit and I made the "family loop." We visited both my sisters and my folks and had a great time! We even made quite a few road side attraction stops and saw some other family that we love to visit. Big Kid and M had gone to the boy scout camp last week, so they had a good time, too! Sometime this week I shall download my pictures and post a few and hopefully figure out this flip video camera and edit myself a short movie to post of our adventures. Until then, much love and good rest. later-cb
