2013: Because today is awesome.

I've decided that I will get back to blogging this year.  But, I will mainly just post why today is awesome.  Because I find everyday to be awesome.  There is always some little something that happens to make today great.  So, I'll post what happened today or yesterday that made life great.

It's the little things, not the big things in life that make it good.

So, far here's what's been awesome:

Tuesday, January 1
New Year's started at our friends.  M & I kissed each other at midnight, while watching the downtown Houston countdown on tv, where KC & the Sunshine band didn't show up because it rained.  Because of rain there was no Sunshine, should have been the newspaper headlines.  We had gone to Perry's Steakhouse for supper.  It was the first time there and it was nice.  I got the famous pork chop.  It was huge.

Later New Year's day, after we all slept in, very late.  I made soup from that pork chop.  I also baked cookies.  And we all just hung around in jambes most of the day. It was lovely.

Wednesday, January 2

2001: A Space Oddessey  We saw it at the movie theater on the BIG screen.  And it was GREAT!  When we first got there, it was just us and one other guy.  By the time the movie started another 10 or so people had arrived.  I must say this movie is even Better on the big screen.  It gave our daughter motion sickness.  You really don't get motion sickness at the movies nowadays.  And it gave us great conversation fodder on the way home and the next day.  Big Kid did NOT like the movie.  Little Bit thought it was ok.  M loved it.  

Thursday, January 3

At 4 o'clock it started sleeting.  Here. In the greater Houston area. Sleet.  Last week it was in the 70s.  So, seeing sleet was cool.  And surprising.  In fact, I don't know if anyone believed me.  But it did. It sleeted.

Friday, January 4

Today Little Bit and I are hanging out.  M has school. Big Kid has a sleepover birthday party.  And Little Bit and I are enjoying the day.  I hope you are, too.
