I shoulda figured

OK. I have had a very busy day and yet don't know if there is much where you can tell. In fact, as soon as I finish this it's off to beddy-bye.

So anyway...I could go through my day to day doll-drum, yet it's even boring to me at this point. Even thought I did have a few way out there Shocker type things happen that do not lend to to somewhat pg/pg13 blog.

Anywho. I should have realized where this day was going when my whole cram reading the bible down my kid's throat in the morning plan backfired on me. So, here is this verse in Proverbs about Kids you should listen to your parents and so forth. Well, of course I feel the need to have discussion time following the 3 verses read.

Me: "So, what were those verses about?"
Big Kid: "I dunno."
Little Bit: "Wwwhat?"
Me: "Who are you supposed to listen to?"
Big Kid: "God."
Me: "Ok. Yes, God...but who else?"
Pause.
Me: "Ok Do I need to read it again?"
Both kids: "your parennts."
Me: "Yes. But, you did bring up a good point, Big Kid. We do need to listen to God, too. In fact, if I tell you to do something and God tells you to do something else, who should you listen to?"
Both Kids: "God."
Me: "That's right."
Big Kid: "God's telling me not to go to school today."
Me: sigh. "What?"
Big Kid: "Yep. God doesn't want me to go to school." hee hee.
Me: "you know what I mean."
Big Kid: "Yep. I'm staying home. God doesn't want me to go."
Me: "you are going."

He went to school. And I went about my day. And now it's over and I'm going to bed. And tomorrow I start over. I'm not sure if I'm ready for another theological discussion. Say a prayer.
