Better than telling you over the phone or describing in words here,
I decided to post some photos of our garden.
Spring is springing, and so is our garden!!!
Look closely at all the photos, something really is there.
In addition to the mint plant, the dill weed is starting to bloom.
The cilantro is taking longer, but is did see one sprout today. (no cilantro photo, only dill)
The most satisfying plant for beginners...lettuce.
Immediate results...two varieties.
Our broccoli plants, on the left
The 2 bell pepper, one banana pepper, and jalapeño to the far right.
WHAT, a strawberry plant?!? I had to rub my eyes!!!
I'm soooo excited. I never thought the strawberry plants would make.
Whoopiee!!!
Two potato plants, have already sprung up!!!
Make that 3 potato plants, this one is just now pushing the dirt up.
Lovely. I cannot wait to show Little Bit her potatoes tonight!
Can you tell what these two snaky looking vegetables are?
You might have to click on the picture to make it bigger to see them.
ASPARAGUS!
I have asparagus!!!!
Proof, miracles do happen.
We can only thank God for these,
that is the only way that I am able to grow asparagus.
I must *note* right now that I am very tempted to pick these two tiny asparaguses,
but I'm going to wait.
I decided to plant my lemon or lime or whatever this is tree that produced
little tiny lemons/limes last year.
I had it in a container on my patio.
It has survived for two years in that tiny container,
so I decided to reward it by planting it in the ground.
It has kindly responded by putting lots of tiny shoots all over its branches.
And last, but perhaps the most satisfying,
The Onions.
These, I can look out my bedroom window and see them peeping up from the ground.
I was so proud to see them shooting up first the other day,
that Little Bit and M and I went out with our flashlights
to see these veges at 8:00 p.m.
Little Bit was super proud of the ones she planted,
and she should be.
She is a good gardener.
And a great daughter.
