I have drug out my beads and been making bracelets and necklaces like the world would come to an end without these hallowed trinkets. I've also been feeling like wearing funky, out-of-date, Autumn-inspired vests and going outside amongst regular dressed people. And I want something deep fat fried to eat.
Then I realized it...it's craft fair time. And my ALL favorite craft festival, is happening this weekend. http://www.wareaglemill.com/craftsfair.htm The War Eagle Craft fair is going to be taking place and I'll be missing it.
I used to go with my mom and my sisters and my mom's sister-in-law and sister and her daughters and my grandma. We'd all wear these homemade matching Fall festival vests. We'd eat things on a stick and buy things on a stick. It was so much fun in such a weird way.
So, in it's honor, this weekend I vow to:
- wear a vest
- eat kettle popcorn- but only a little, as my temporary crown (or my Fake, fake tooth as I like to call it) is bothering me.
- eat something on a stick - preferably a fresh dipped corn dog but I will make do with whatever I can find.
- put out some garish fall harvest decor and be really proud of it.
