week 2 and counting

Well, another BUSY week of Summer has almost ran past us. I've got a little down time, as I've got the kids and their friends settled down to "poopcorn" and the movie "Hotel for Dogs" on the big screen in the living room. Did i ever mention how much i LOVE watching movies like i'm at the movies only at home laying on the couch? that is, unless i've got little kids that are too busy hopping around and "needing" something every 2 minutes. i'm sure i will miss these days.

anywho, back to the week. let's recap...shall we?

Little Bit: She's been at TAKS camp all week. Today (Friday) was the last day for her. She had a great time and even came home with a stuffed animal that she said smelled like our dog Bark. I don't think she could have been any happier. She also went to a birthday party yesterday at pump-it-up (big inflatable jump house place). And has had many playdates with friends. She also had two swim lessons and one tutoring lesson.

Big Kid: He had soccer camp Monday through Thursday. He said it was HOT! But, he had a fun time and was happy every day. He also has had LOTS of playdates, one every day it seems. A guitar lesson. And a trip or two to the pools.

M & I: M's been busy with work. Still recovering from the big trip to Singapore last week. Sunday we all went over to the neighbors and swam in their pool. That was super fun and relaxing. And a GREAT way to start off the week. I am still in recovery from that silly cold. I think i've finally almost got over it. WHEW! That took FOREVER. Our downstairs airconditioner went out. You would think that we'd have just a big ole sweatbox here at the house, yet it hasn't been that bad. Thankfully, i grew up in the South and we just drew the curtains and turned on all the ceiling fans. Next, we'll be putting alumnium foil on the windows. ha. Actually, we're scheduled on the 28th to get two new air conditioners. Just in time for the July heat. So, that will be good. M has reminded me that will be my Christmas and birthday presents for the next year. I think i'm ready to remind him that's not funny. ;0 And on a better note, we went out with a bunch of friends last night on the Market Street Wine Walk. We have a GREAT time every year with this. And this year quite a few friends rolled out with us making the time even better!!! I think everyone had a super good time. I know i did.

Well, that's about it for this week so far. I think i'm off to watch "hotel for dogs" with the boys. The girls have retired upstairs to the airconditioning and playing games. I think i won't even check on them. i'll just clean up the mess when the company leaves. it's easier and more fun for everyone that way.

i hope that everyone has a great father's day weekend. i love my dad and hope he has a great weekend especially!
