Week 3 Summer

Can you believe that we've already had 3 weeks of summer? I cannot!

This was a Looonnnggg week. But, that's because I've missed my babies [see previous posts, sad really that i get that worked up over my children]. Anyway, while my little bitty babies, ages 9 & 11 have been to sleep away church camp having the time of their lives with canoeing, swimming, ropes course, big inflatable jump thing in the lake, tubing and worship, i have been busy too.

Ok. so, maybe not busy. But, I did get a few things done and did a few fun things.

• Went to the movies with girlfriends and saw Knight & Day with Tom Cruise & Cameron Diaz. Cute movie. I give it a "can't wait to watch it again on Sunday Afternoon tv movie re-run, chick flick rating."
• Went out and rode around on boat for 30 minutes for sunset ride. Burnt up only 1/6th of the tank of gas. I think this is a very efficient engine. M wants to burn up the whole tank, so we will be back out there soon. Must say it was the most relaxing boat ride we have ever taken on that boat. Of course, we were just riding and there was no packing or supervision needed on my part, just fun. i could use more boat rides like that.
• We ate dinner at Ransom Steakhouse & Salon in Montgomery. It had good atmosphere. I like the old tin ceilings. And the food was pretty good. The place was full of people on a Thursday night. But, it was hard to hear in there [i am getting old, arrgghh.]. I give it a one thumb up.
• I installed new knob pulls in the kid's bathroom, new air duct vents, a new toliet paper holder, new bath towel bar and took down and repainted behind old mirror. Today I hang the new mirror. :)
• Spent a whole day just laying around doing nothing.
• Spent a lot of time thinking about things. Good to mull over.
• did laundry [not dead yet, as long as there is laundry].
• went out with girlfriends to the Melting Pot. Had a super fun time!!!
• Rode bikes with M to Alamo Joe's for dinner.
• ok. i'm sure there was lots more, but i cannot remember and i have to get going. i pick up the kids today at 11:45 and i must prepare for company for the weekend that i just found out about last night at 10 p.m. i'm skipping my high school reunion this weekend, but some of M's best friends are in town this weekend, so we will be having good time. happy weekend.
