What a wild week. It has been good and interesting. Just like any ole week...
- oral surgery on my man's top two wisdom teeth
- heart surgery on a family member
- afriend's kid's coming home from Texas Children's
- a funeral for a friend. that was tough.
- another friend having surgery.
- another friend having possible bad, really sad health news. i'm praying it's nothing.
- taking cupcakes to school for the last time ever for an elementary birthday for my children
- recovering from a BIG sleepover birthday party last weekend
- work, work, work
- riding on a private jet
- delivering school fundraiser cookie dough
- buying presents for tomorrow's birthday
- listening to my son hum loudly his songs for his trumpet school district honor band try-outs
- knowing tomorrow his try-outs overlap his sister's twirling show and i still have to buy the rest of her outfit today.
- trying to finish typing up the church new member list for the last time ever and thus it taking days instead of hours
- the printer broke we're getting a new one in like 6 days. M asked me, "can you go 6 days without it?" i said yes, but i might should have said no.
- having my eyes opened to so much stuff, that I've kept them closed to for so long.
- learning that i have to stand up for what's right, when no one else will.
- being reminded that my man is a good man.
- being sent to spencer's gifts for church work and learning that Spencer's gifts is NOT at ALL like it was when I was a teenager. And being judged by the store clerk that's all pierced and gothed out was too much to not laugh about later in the day.
And i'm just now to the weekend that is packed out. I think soon I will be taking a day off from the world and putting a fire in the fireplace, cranking the air conditioning down, making some hot chocolate (maybe spiked), and watching chick flicks with Hugh Grant all afternoon. I think this day will come sometime in 2015. TGIF, people, TGIF.
