These are orbies. They start of tiny small, and then with a little water they multiply like those things before they turn into gremlins. I'm not sure but I think they are still mulitplying and I'm finding them everywhere.
Thankfully, Little Bit is an entrepenaur and is selling these dodads to every kid she runs into. I think she's set up a whole business at the school bus stop based on throwing a few of these with some crayon shavings into a water bottle and marketing them as lava lamps. I figure if she's making money or good trades, who am i to interfer with an education in life.
